The location is positioned in the natural environment of Lake Bohinj, which lies in the sensitive landscape area of the Triglav National Park. The primary consideration in the design is the observance of the architectural value of the existing old hotel and a tendency to preserve or rather supplement the natural heritage. The new programme mainly digs into the terrain itself and, in its programme components, opens up from embankments towards the Lake Bohinj as a linear screen.
